The back has been cut flush to allow fixing to a wall, with 4No. 5mm countersunk holes to provide a firm fixing.
The rear of the stave is been sealed with varinsh but the front and sides finished in an oil / wax blend (water resistant) to bring out the natural wood grain.
The shaker pegs are made of 90mm (total) Oak giving plenty of depth to hang coats on.
